Southern LIG meeting September, 2006
by Tina Hoffmann
On 21 st September, a small but lively group of technical authors met at Chronicles Wine Bar in Reading for a convivial evening of good conversation, good food and the odd glass of wine (also very good). Over drinks and bar meals there was relaxed discussion of topics ranging from career progression to internal communication in workplaces (or the lack thereof) to the highly contested subject of drinking wine out of cardboard boxes.

We have now held a couple of meetings in Reading , and while the town is easily accessible for many members, we decided it was time we lived up to our name of Southern LIG . With Christmas (and the STC Christmas dinner on Friday, 1 December) just around the corner, we will be holding our next Southern LIG meeting in January 2007. And this time, we will be meeting in Abingdon (see separate announcement). This will be followed by a return to London in Spring 2007.

Southern LIG meetings have proofed to be very enjoyable and informative networking occasions and for 2007 we plan to hold social meetings every few weeks in various locations in the South East/West.
